I found that if you reset the infotainment screen by holding down the on/off control for 10 seconds the system would restart and the Bluetooth would be on, not ideal but it gets you access to your phone while in the car. This would sometimes last a couple of days, other times just one short journey.

This is how I do it: Wait for phone to connect. Press the media button and then BT-audio. Then play music from my phone, making sure the volume on my phone is turned up adequately. Sometimes I have to press BT audio again for it to start coming through the speakers.

Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013) Parrot Hands Free Battery Drain ? I've got a 2007 Octy 2.0 TDI with battery problems - not enough in the battery to start the car after a couple of days. Dealer is saying that my Parrot hands free maybe causing the problem in that it does not allow the car to go into sleep mode and is thus draining the battery.
Not sure what use that would be. It appears to be a bluetooth unit for streaming music somehow, but how effective it would be I don't know. Certainly you'll have to use the phone for all control of the music, which will gain you some points and a fine when the Police catch you. Location: BRISTOL. Model: skoda superb estate L,K. Try these places first: Glovebox – Some radio codes appear on a sticker in the glovebox. Vehicle handbook – You might find the code in your vehicle handbook under the stereo or security section. Alternatively, some codes are printed on a small paper or plastic card, found inside the handbook.
Plug this into the Bolero; Plug the beige aerial lead into the connector on the left (as you look at the back of the Bolero); Plug the white aerial lead into the one on the right (as above). I'm pretty sure you will get good reception from this. If not, pull the HU back out and swap the aerial leads over.
The Columbus is the current Skoda unit that has Sat Nav, but it does not have Bluetooth built in - that is a separate unit. There is also a new VW unit that is being transferred across the Skoda with Sat Nav, but I'm not sure when or if that has happened yet. I think it is the Amundsen+, but don't hold me to that.

Some people locate the module in the dash end panel with the fuse box, be sure to check there too. A lot of people now have access to App based diagnostics, it is possible a previous owner enabled Bluetooth in the hope it would work (hence the listing in the on-screen menu) but didn't install the module and microphone.
