It’s the system shutting off to preserve 12v battery so the car can start when needed. It’s working as intended apparently. I get the “system off to save battery“ occasionally, but I’ve never had a dead 12v battery. Only thing I can see to do it put a larger 12v battery in the car so there’s more reserve in the battery.

2011 Edge & MKX. Im getting the battery saver message and turn ignition off warning. It started about 3 weeks ago and I cleaned the cables which seemed to help and had Ford check the battery and charging system. All good according to them. Then message started again today although after a short trip.
Actually, the battery saver relay is a relay that opens it contacts after about 30-45 minutes from the time the ignition switch is turned off. It shuts off power to the courtesy lights. It will be re-energized once the drivers door is opened or unlocked. Is this the clicking You are hearing when turning the key on?
