This is a review for czech restaurants in Naperville, IL: "For my money, this is now the best Czech/Bohemian food in the Chicago area now that the Czech Plaza and the Riverside Restaurant have been replaced. The atmosphere is almost non-existent, as the place is in a strip-mall storefront. But the food is great.
Czech Svitchkova: I love this dish. You get two beef sirloins smothered in their creamy sauce. The sauce was both sweet and tart, reminiscent of honey mustard (closest thing I can think of). It paired well with the spaetzle and the cute little dollop of cranberry and whipped cream. The beef was cooked nicely and it felt like a complete entree

The food was really, really good. I got the duck and red cabbage stuffed potato pancakes, drenched in its own juices. But the wrap was really just a fried quesadilla-like thing. Soooo good. 10/10. Service was good, they seem to be very busy on their feet and are attentive but take awhile when other people start coming in.
French fries were, well, French fries. The roasted vegetables were best part of the meal. Very hard to find this restaurant, down a semi hidden street. If you go, get the goulash (ie not what we had). Also, odd music playing. Not sure how to describe it, but did not lend itself to a "typical Czech food" experience. Better music for a hamburger

Service and prices are always consistently good and the food is second only to The shrimp, oysters, fish, alligator, c 10. Oaxaca (WO-HA-KA) Mexican Cuisine. The hot sauce was tasty and the green sauce was my favorite. Overall, terrible overpriced food, an obvious tourist trap that does everything in their power to maximize the amount of money they drain out of you. If you want good food near the castle, head the other direction and eat at cafe bella vida. Better view, better food, better value. Do yourself a favor and AVOID this place.
